Mobile App Development - Recroute

Recroute is an online learning platform app that offers a wide range of online courses and helps users find jobs. This application is designed to make it easier for users, especially fresh graduates, to get a job based on the user's rank, points, and skills.

Recroute offers various types of online courses that can support users in entering a job, ranging from design classes to analysis, programming, and others. In addition to this online course feature, we also offer a job search feature based on the interests of the user. Users can apply for various jobs from various companies through the job search feature.

In addition to online courses and job searches, Recroute also has a ranking/leaderboard feature. With the ranking feature, Recroute makes it easy for companies to find potential employees. This is because the more diligent and more users complete the course, the higher the points will be and the higher the ranking will be. Every time the user completes a sub-material in the class, the user will get 25 points. Then when the user completes the final exam and receives a certificate, the user will get 150 points. However, Recroute also provides a filter in the form of user status classification, whether they are employed or not. This makes the competition in the ranking fairer because if the user at the top is already working then the company can skip them and look for unemployed users with a ranking below them. The number of points from users can also be exchanged for prizes in the form of vouchers that can be used within a certain period. Not only that, if the user successfully takes the final exam with a good final grade then the user gets a skill badge that will appear on his profile page.

In the development of Recroute, my role as Product Manager was multifaceted. I was responsible for brainstorming and generating application ideas, conducting research as material for application development, bridging the gap between the UI designer and the programmer and making sure that they worked well together, as well as keeping a close eye on the application development to ensure it was aligned with the existing requirements and delivered on time. I also took charge of creating low-fidelity wireframes and user flow as initial designs to guide our project as well as composing app development proposal.

Recroute is a mobile application developed by group 11 as the final result of the Raion Community internship (mobile app and game development community at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Brawijaya). Recroute was built using the agile SDLC model and Kotlin programming language on Android Studio.
