Mobile App Development - ResQMeal
ResQMeal is a mobile-based application developed to solve the problem of food waste. ResQMeal comes with several features that are offered to facilitate the community of users of this application later in an effort to reduce food waste. The main feature in this application, namely, the upload and accept food offer feature, broadly speaking has the function of offering leftover food that is still suitable for eating to those who are more in need by uploading food photos along with complete information about the food, the full address where the food can be picked up by those in need, as well as the contact of the uploader of the food post for further processing of food collection.
In addition to these features, there are also other important features, namely, providing reviews to food uploaders and tips and tricks about food waste. The feature of giving reviews to users can be used when the recipient of the food offer has received the food and eaten the food. The review can be used as a bridge to build trust with other users towards the user who uploaded the food. Then, the tips and tricks feature about food waste functions to provide some information to users about efforts to reduce food waste.
In the development of ResQMeal, my role as Product Manager was multifaceted. I was responsible for brainstorming and generating application ideas, conducting research as material for application development, bridging the gap between the UI designer and the programmer and making sure that they worked well together, as well as keeping a close eye on the application development to ensure it was aligned with the existing requirements and delivered on time. I also took charge of creating low-fidelity wireframes as initial designs to guide our project as well as composing app development proposal.
ResQMeal is a mobile application developed by the "tbtb hekjem" team to participate in the 2023 Raion Community Hackjam. ResQMeal was built using the agile SDLC model and Kotlin programming language on Android Studio.
